History

Alschuler’s high gothic style is marked by in-laid masonry construction and detailed, ornate relief art adorning facades.

Six stone grotesques guard the building, sitting in unique postures atop Greek columns Haberdasher square lofts is made up of 2 buildings, the taller was originally the AB Dick Headquarters and later was acquired by better known Hart Schaffner and Marx company. This is what inspired the Haberdasher name. The building was originally 8 stories, when Hart Schaffner company purchased the building they added 4 and half more floors. These top 4 floors have a very unique “matchstick” maple floor”. The shorter building or the “Timber” side was the former home of the Wurlitzer Jukebox Company.
